Series: Jonah: A Story of God’s Relentless Grace

Title: Who? What? Where?

Scripture: Jonah 1:1-3

Notetaking Journals for the Jonah Study are available in the foyer

The Lord gave this message to Jonah son of Amittai: “Get up and go to the great

city of Nineveh. Announce my judgment against it because I have seen how

wicked its people are.” But Jonah got up and went in the opposite direction to get

away from the Lord. He went down to the port of Joppa, where he found a ship

leaving for Tarshish. He bought a ticket and went on board, hoping to escape from

the Lord by sailing to Tarshish.

Grace News

Welcome Alan Cellamare of African Leadership Initiatives serving in West Africa Missions.

Discover Grace is for newer folks, visitors or any interested to get to know Grace Church

better and meet some of the ministry staff and leadership. It will be a brief time to hear

about Grace’s mission & vision and more. Then, if interested in membership, we’ll look

forward to talking with you at a scheduled time. Either way, we’d love the chance to meet

you. Today after each worship service. No childcare.

Kairos Prison Outreach in Ridgeland, SC Kairos is a ministry that aims to address the

spiritual needs of incarcerated people. We have trained men going to Ridgeland

Correctional May 2-5 who are asking for your prayers. Homemade Cookies for Inmates

Inmates are drawn to the thought of someone baking them homemade cookies. It is

something VERY RARE in their lives and it’s a delicious way to start a conversation about

God’s love for them. We need Cookie Bakers. There are cookie guidelines to follow. See

the sign up today & next Sunday. Questions? Rick Van Puffelen (843) 384-1694.

Monthly Homeless Shelter Serving We go to the Old Savannah City Mission (OSCM) to

serve in their warehouse 9-noon on third Saturdays—April 20th is our next date. Call Susy

to join 843-681-6698. The church van isn’t reliable right now—are you able to help with

carpooling? Need a ride? Could give a ride? Driving there on your own? OSCM sees each

individual as a person of worth with dignity and worthy of assistance in their journey.

Beach Baptism will be Sunday, May 5th. Contact the church office if interested. Baptism is a
