Mary Jane and her husband, Jack, met at Dale Carnegie while taking a class there. They raised their six children in Pittsburgh, PA. After several years of splitting time between Pittsburgh and Hilton Head Island, they made the permanent move south in 1995. Very soon after they moved, they began attending Grace. In 2012, Jack went to heaven and Mary Jane began to get more involved at Grace. They were married for 57 years.
For 60 years, Mary Jane ran the nursery at their home church in Pittsburgh and then here at Grace. She also taught a young mother’s class for many years. Together, Mary Jane and Jack spoke at many Christian Women’s Club meetings.
Beginning in 2016, Mary Jane volunteered to work full time in the front office. She answers the phone, greets visitors, and assists the staff in any way she can. She is a blessing to all who call and visit!
Mary Jane has a passion for prayer and Scripture memory. She has memorized the entire books of Phillippians and James and is actively memorizing Colossians. She has six adult children: Jack, Susy, Bill, David, Dan, and Anne. She has 21 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren… and counting!
